I Am Grateful for this Moment...
I have the pleasure of meeting with a group of wonderful women to share our weekly gratitude. Recently, our meeting was cancelled, so I decided to invite my house guests to sit together on the designated day and share our gratitude. My 5 ˝ year old granddaughter joined our circle, sitting in the energy with the other 4 women in the room.
When I attempted to explain to my granddaughter the concept of gratitude, I realized I would have to come up with a word she could relate to... I explained gratitude was how you feel when you are happy. Armed with this information, she sat peacefully and said: “I am happy to be here.”
As we all reflected on her response, we realized that indeed... the simplicity of a child’s wisdom was exactly what many of us strive for. The ability to be grateful in each moment is the gift.
I find that there are times when my adult mind looks to make experiences complicated. How does one define gratitude? Can we release the old ideas of gratitude and simply “Be”...
I was recently asked to provide some guidance regarding gratitude... what is the menu for the perfect system of gratitude... I am learning the true meaning of gratitude is to enjoy the moment and see the experience with eyes of appreciation; recognize what makes you happy in the moment and to carry that feeling with you as you experience your life.
I am grateful for the wisdom shared with my granddaughter and for the simplicity of living and loving as the child...

Connect to the innocence of my inner child...
Am grateful for this moment...
